Declare Your PORNVisitors in Australia now have another question to answer in addition to declaring whether they are carrying firearms, weapons or illict drugs. Are you bringing any pornography? The addtional query was introduced in September 2009 . Customs said on Friday , adding that it was designed to pick up prohibited items such as child pornography.
The Australian Sex Party described it as a ' monstrous invasion of privacy ' which would leave the laptops and mobile phones of anyone entering the country open to scrutiny.
" If you and your partner filmed yourselves making love in an exotic destination or even taking a bath , you will have to answer YES or you will be breaking the law " president fiona patten said
The change would mean that travellers would have to declare their X-rated materials to the customs officers and have it examined. "Is it fair to have customs officers rummage through someone's luggage and pull out a legal magazine or a lesbian journal in front of children or mother in law ? "
Customs claim that the assessment of pornographic materials will be done in a tactful and discreet manner and the question was only designed to pick up offensive items.
